A couple years ago we started a tradition, Friendsgiving. We love spending the holidays with our family, and finding time to invite a few friends over for a pre-holiday celebration is just the icing on the cake. We have the best group of friends and the cutest kids. It’s defintely one of the things at the top of “things we are thankful for”. We ate, we drank and we shared a lot of laughs together. Friendsgiving is fast becoming one of my number one things we look forward to every year! There’s nothing better than being surrounded by family, friends, and contagious laughter!
We have to admit hosting a big meal for a lot of people can be very stressful. It doesn’t have to be that way though! We enjoy doing a brunch instead of Thanksgiving meal. It keeps it simple! Our tips: delegate, make ahead, and drink A LOT of mimosas.
Thanks for letting us share a peek into our Friendsgiving this year. Do y’all do a friendsgivng? PLEASE feel free to share any hosting tips or Thanksgiving plans you might be making this year. We’d love to hear it.

Lately it seems I have had a few of those moment where it’s 5 o’clock, my kid is hungry, my husband is going to be home soon, and I have no idea what I want to cook for dinner. (I blame it on the pregnancy brain!) I had heard about Plated, a food delivery that aims to make your life easier, you cook it, and with the freshest and healthiest ingredients; all while never having to go to the store. Genius! This was perfect.
Our dinner menu was becoming boring and I was ready to go outside of my comfort zone to try new recipes and ingredients – this was the perfect way. I received my first delivery which consist of two different meals, Thai Curry Chicken and Chicken Tortilla Soup. Y’all, these both took me no more than 30 minutes from start to finish all while having a one year old at my feet! Now that’s what I am talking about!
Thai Curry Chicken
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Both were delicious, but our favorite was the Thai Curry Chicken. I love how it made me branch out by incorporating ingredients that I do not generally have on hand. It was such a nice break to not have to worry about running to the grocery store. I look forward to next weeks meals to arrive.
Back in October we headed out to the good old country for a little antiquing in Round Top, TX! Round Top, a tiny little town, population 90 twice a year hosts a large vintage and antique fair. We enjoyed wine, pizza, and A LOT of shopping. We are so excited to share with y’all all of the neat things we saw + what we did with the things we bought!
Vintage Louis Vuitton – to die for!
Of course, we could not leave with out purchasing some things.
Kylee got this chandelier from Royal Standard. Y’all it was a steal!
How cute are these decorations from The Round Top Collection?! We have metal work for each holiday, but by far these are our favorite.
We look forward to going to Round Top this spring! This time we will have a better idea of where to go! If you all have been, please let us know of any tips.

There’s no question it’s been a wet couple of weekends! Last weekend we had hurricane Patricia and this weekend just a horrible storm that decided to greet us late Friday night! Luckily, didn’t hang around in time for the girls to dress up for Halloween. Which by the way we can’t wait to share!
Last Saturday when life was rainy and incredibly soggy B and Kylee did a little photo shoot in the rain and Kelly decided to brave the storm and go shopping! Nothing can hold her back! We really don’t understand why rainboots are never listed on those “Things You Never Knew You Needed as a mom” lists because I never leave my house on a rainy day without them.
Rainy days are so gloomy so brightly colored rain boots were a no brainer!

We love any excuse to throw a party and what better way to show off a bundle of joy than with a Sip and See? In case, you don’t know what a ‘Sip ‘n See’ is it’s basically where you invite people over to sip (drink) and see (cuddle) the baby. Very casual!
Whenever we throw a party we start by choosing a theme and since it was the first weekend in October, we decided to do a “Fall” theme. We wanted to keep it very simple, incorporate decorations we already owned, and make it feel very welcoming.
We gifted sweet baby William this sweet pillow from The Pin Cushion. If y’all haven’t seen her sweet little name pillows before you MUST go check out her shop on etsy. We told her colors, and a theme and ta-da a perfect car pillow for the nursery!
There was so much yummy food for lunch that we kept the desserts simple and sweet. Cookies from Whole Foods. The signature drinks were mimosas mixed with Fall berries – perfect cocktail that just happen to match our party’s color palette.
All in all, it was fun to have everyone over to celebrate the sweet arrival of William Reese Jones!

We are so ready for some cooler weather and no humidity! In the mean time, a plaid flannel is one of our favorite looks because it can be so versatile. As mom’s we have to keep it comfortable – a pair of booties during the day, and for happy hour with your girlfriends dress it up with some heels.
As a southern girl, Kelly loves EVERYTHING monogrammed. When we say everything we mean everything; towels, bedding, AB’s whole wardrobe and her clutch! Just remember y’all “Southern women are extremely good at getting what they want.” — Virginia Williams.
We hope y’all have a great weekend!
