Fall Foliage in Maine

On a whim we decided to take a trip to the east coast to experience the season change. Here in Texas we don’t get to experience Fall, so everything exceeded my expectations. My camera was on overload! I took over 400 pictures over the duration of 5 days. Pictures don’t even do it justice – it was truly breathtaking.

The whole trip was filled with the most charming places, to die for eats, and the Fall weather was amazing.  I wish I could share them all with you!  This was one of my favorites, the Portland Maine Lighthouse.

Olive + Black

Happy Wednesday! It’s almost the weekend!

We are loving the olive + black combo for Fall. Oversize t-shirts and booties just make us happy. Anthropologie has always had the best t-shirts and this one is no exception. What is y’alls favorite combo for Fall?

“Up up and Away”

It doesn’t seem possible, but our sweet baby girl Brooklyn has officially turned O N E! I can hardly remember what life was like before her. Time truly flies when you’re having fun!
With her love for balloons I thought what better theme to run with than Hot Air Balloons! I prefer the convince of email invitations so we used Paperless Post for the invites. We hosted a brunch style party at 11 am, right after her first nap so she was a happy camper. We served donut holes, fruit, Chick-fil-a nuggets (who doesn’t love those), assorted quiche (Costco), coffee cakes (Costco), fruit pouches for the little ones, and of course custom cookies from Tudor House Cookies. Also the creative and talented Heaven & Honey did a little photo shoot before the party with the hot air balloon theme which turned out amazing!

I ordered most of the decoration on Amazon.com:
– tissue pom pom
tassel garland
3 foot balloons
hot air balloon mesh net
Who doesn’t like everything being delivered to there door step.

Lastly, was the goodie bags. I had a hard time deciding what to include but Target never seems to disappoint and I hit there dollar section and found a box of jumbo sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and glow n the dark sticks. What great finds and a ones top shop.

Until the next baby comes along …. I hope you get some ideas from “Brunch with Brooklyn”

“Donut” want to miss this 1st Birthday!

I had so much fun planning Annabelle’s 1st Birthday! AB’s first “sweet” was a pink glazed donut and she loved it.  The apple must not fall far from the tree – they are my weakness! I wanted it to cater to both kids and adults – what adult doesn’t love a good donut! I began planning it months before after seeing an instagram post by @Emerson Sloan. If you haven’t been there – you must check them out! They are your perfect go to for party planning. One stop shop!

The party started around 11am, so I served brunch. Chick fil a Chicken Minis, fruit, quiches, bagel dots, and of course the main dish an assortment of flavored donuts from River Oaks Donuts. For drinks a berry mimosa, Kraft beer, and juice/milk (for the kids).  Jolie Delight Cookies are always a huge HIT. Ambre is incredibly talented – you tell her your ideas and she will exceed any expectations you may have!
